The waves crashed upon the shore as the young woman looked over the edge of the cliff.  She was brilliant.  Her shimmering, chestnut hair whipped around her face and covered her eyes; eyes that were clouded over with pain and worry so that they were a soft gray in color.  Dressed in a dark purple gown with black and shining silver accents, she paced the small space of the cliff she stood on.  This woman, though in grief, is the essence of power.  She is the embodiment of Scorpius.  True to her nature she is fierce and a force to be reckoned with.  One you do not double-cross, but one who seldom lets it get that far.  Her emotions are like tidal waves and come and go with such ferocity that one seldom knows what has happened….
He rushes through the trees, stealth and agility on his side.  Nothing can stop him; he’ll make sure of that.  Dressed in simple brown hues with a sword at his side he makes his way through the tangled vines and branches of the dense forest.  The terrible crashing of the waves had alerted him at once and he knew nothing else mattered but her.  After all, was he not the bull?  Her protector?  Her Taurus?  Was she not his love?  His passion?  His Scorpio?  Then it hit him with such power that he was thrown against an old oak tree.
Tears flowed rapidly down her cheeks now; each making its own small trail on her now pale cheeks.  “Where is he?  Where could he be?” she said aloud, hoping that the sound of her own voice would bring some calm to her storm of emotions.  It only seemed to make them worse.  The tides began to rise higher and crash with more power than before.  What if something has happened to him?  If he is hurt someone will pay!  The last thought caused a spark of cobalt to flash in her clouded eyes, but only for a moment before the clouds returned.  The last tidal wave also reached its highest peak before she calmed herself.
Opening his eyes once more he realized just how hurt she really was.  Her pain had hit him like a boulder.  It made him realize just how close their bond truly was.  Feeling his love’s pain had made his will to get to her even stronger and he began his journey even faster than before.  The intensity of his beautiful green eyes had left with the jolt of pain and they were now a dull olive shade.  He needed her presence, her embrace, her warmth, just as much as she needed his.
The water rose with every step of her bare feet on the soft mix of sand and soil.  This peaceful world was her home, but it was no longer welcoming.  There was pain, anger, and grief in it that she could no longer bare.  It ate away at her heart, her soul, and this time she wasn’t even sure if he would be enough to stop her now.  Her emotions had such intensity that she herself was losing control of them.
His muscles grew tired, but he knew he couldn’t stop now.  He had finally reached the cliff and had begun the dangerous trek to where his beloved beauty stood.  He could sense her growing hopelessness with every inch he climbed.  Every rock brought him closer to her, and he knew she could feel his presence becoming more tangible as he felt hers.  Just a few more yards and he would be there.  With her.  The knowledge of this made him push his body to the limit.  He rushed with all his might to get to the top of the cliff.  He reached the top and that’s when he first saw her.  He gazed at an image of raw power and pure beauty.  Her back was to him and he could see her hands balled into fists at her sides.   Her bare shoulders were trembling with sobs that racked her small frame.  The mighty wind whipped her hair and gown around her head and body as she stared out into the monstrous ocean that was under her command.  It was as if she was numb to everything but the sea, the sea of her heart.  She stiffened suddenly and he knew she felt his presence within her very being.  Her beauty only intensified when he gazed upon her tear stricken features as she turned to face him.
He was there.  She saw him in front of her and nothing else mattered.  She wanted his arms around her, she wanted his earthy smell to engulf her, but more than anything, she wanted her soul to reunite with his.
He glided to her in long, confident strides.  He placed a hand on each of her bare shoulders and looked into her eyes.  She stood motionless, staring into his eyes.  He brought her closer to him so that his lips barely grazed her ear as his whispered softly, “Omnia vincit amor; et nos cedamus amori.”
Her body immediately relaxed and the numbness left her.  It was as if he had broken a spell of some sort that had complete dominance over her.  Her clouded eyes became a shimmering blue that matched the ocean in beauty and majesty as she stared lovingly into eyes that were now a sparkling green speckled with golden brown.  His lips touched hers gently in a kiss softer than the wings of a dove.  It was as if he breathed life into her with this one simple gesture.
“It’s too late,” she said simply.  The pain was too great for her to control any longer and with one last warm embrace the water rose around them.  The water had reached their feet now and was continuing to rise steadily around them.  As the pain ran from their love they knew they would rebuild again.
He gazed at his passionate Scorpio as she gazed at her protective Taurus.  She closed her eyes as he kissed her forehead and whispered for her ears only, “I’m forever in blue.”
